The Cafe De Costa Rica Story

It’s here in the beautiful mountains of Costa Rica that the Javataza story began. We’re proud to still have a strong relationship with the local coffee farmers more than 20 years later.

This mountainous region of Costa Rica regularly experiences large temperature swings, up to 30 degrees in a 24 hour period. These fluctuations create some of the sweetest pineapple and sugar cane in the world and, you guessed it, some of the sweetest coffee also.

Our direct trade model has allowed this group of Costa Rican Coffee Farmers to thrive, enabling them to invest back into their farms and the local commmunity.
